The deliberate-first turn — think, explain, then set the table

The owner's design, 2026-07-30: 「in real life a GM would deliberate → explain the rule → arm the tools → start the game … always thinking before act. The 3 second cost can be justified if the tools are perfectly set … and if the persona can generate a msg bubble when deliberate, the perceived wait time is reduced.」 Built the same day, behind a live dial, measured the same hour. On a SETUP-shaped moment the order flips: the speech runs first and publishes, the act call runs behind the bubble reading that speech as the spec, and the cards land while the room reads. Ops turns keep the classic order.

The property that clinched it: while the host is explaining the game, the secret does not exist yet — the words are chosen by the act call, after the speech, privately. The arm-turn leak(「平民词「西瓜」,卧底词「冬瓜」」read aloud while dealing)loses its object.

1 · The two orders

CLASSIC — every ops turn, and every turn before today prop act ∥ FP speech drain reply + cards publish together DELIBERATE-FIRST — a SETUP moment (prop says KIND: SETUP) prop FP speech PUBLISHES the GM explains the table act call, deferred reads the speech as THE SPEC drain cards land while the room reads The reply is on every screen before the act call starts — its ~3s of wall time sits behind the bubble, not in front of it. First token to the user: unchanged. The publisher was split in two (_broadcast_turn → reply half + extras half) so phase 2 can land cards without a second bubble. Degrades to CLASSIC on any doubt: dial off · un-split · tools off · prop dead · KIND unreadable · KIND=OPERATE.
One new word from the prop master (KIND: SETUP | OPERATE, fail-open to OPERATE) is the whole switch. Nothing else in the room decides.

2 · The pieces

piecewhat it does
KIND on the prop masterSETUP = a game being laid for the first time · OPERATE = anything on or inside what is already running(a close, a write, a re-deal). Its own block in the prompt; 「if both could fit, OPERATE」; unreadable = OPERATE — every doubt lands on the classic order.
the deliberation noterides the speech prompt in the post-staging slot(the position that carries): explain the game and the table, say the settings out loud — your words are the setup order — never name secret content, claim nothing as done.
the spec lawthe deferred act call receives the reply verbatim:「values the speech names are FIXED — copy them; values it deliberately leaves unnamed are yours to choose now.」The speech outranks the guest's phrasing and every older turn — the persona's deliberation is the authoritative document, which is what finally gives profile knowledge direct control over the form.
deliberate_finish()phase 2: the API call outside the lock, then the tag through the SAME extractor and appliers as any turn(one grammar, one door), the tag appended to the panel's memory(reveal-by-content survives), refusals onto the outcome channel. Fails to nothing — the table stays as spoken.
the staging bubble
v662, owner
The one stretch of a turn where the room has been TOLD something is coming and the screen shows nothing: the act call's several seconds, measured live at ~6.9s. A bouncing bubble now holds that gap(the egg's sibling — same shell, a rulebook glyph instead of a face, dots that BOUNCE rather than breathe, because this is handling and not thinking)and it dissolves INTO the cards. The worker publishes a bare staging on/off pair around deliberate_finish()(no record, no replay — it is a UI beat), with the off carrying how many objects actually landed, so a phase that armed nothing dissolves quietly instead of promising a card. ⚠ The morph is owned by the bubble, not by the six card renderers: while it is up a MutationObserver holds anything landing in the stream out of layout and the dissolve releases them one at a time — so a card kind added later is covered on the day it ships. Two guards: an EGG is never held(a human can post during phase 2 — the coda does it by design — and holding that would silence the room), and a 40s backstop releases everything if the off never arrives, because a held card is worse than an un-morphed one.

the two leak shapes left One run's setup speech ignored the note and named the pair out loud(「这轮的词——西瓜,冬瓜」)— and the spec law then faithfully dealt exactly those words. The mechanism behaved; the speech was the violation; a prompt clause is a request, and this is its measured compliance (3/4). A NEW shape: the GM speculating aloud mid-game —「"夏天见得多"——西瓜?苹果也对」— named a live deck word while reasoning about the players' clues. Not an arm-turn leak at all; a dealer's-map discipline miss, reachable only because the gauntlet plays whole rounds. Both point at the entropy feature(ledger #11): server-chosen words make ① impossible(phase-1 has nothing to name, phase-2 chooses nothing), and shrink ②'s surface to the dealer's map alone.
